A Qatar club has made an offer for Mesut Ozil on the last day of the pass-by deadline, but Arsenal blocked the movement as they had no time to find a replacement, according to The Mirror.
Ozil reportedly was willing to hear offers from the Middle East club, as was Arsenal coach Michael Arteta, however, the club withdrew from the possible deal.
Germany is currently getting a big salary at Arsenal, so Arteta is thought to be willing to transfer it elsewhere, conveys the news.
However, they will have to wait until the summer or longer.
MLS club DC United has recently held new talks with Ozil representatives while they seek its acquisition in 2021.
He has played more under Arteta than with Unnai Emery, but has not scored throughout the season and has only one assisting in Premierliga, and one at the League Cup.
