World champion Joshua first erupted in the third round, when he twice knocked down Pulev, but the Bulgarian managed to stand up.
He eventually won it in the ninth round when two of his attacks proved successful by eventually crushing Pulev.
After the knockout was confirmed, Joshua released the ring and shoi met the boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, who was present at the event.
