Health Minister Armenmen Zemaj, when asked whether there will be police hours on Sunday, said they will agree with the Central Election Commission (KQZ), but also that they should adjust the voting schedule, which has stressed that restrictions apply to all and that there will be no relief measures.
Even Zemaj on a show said the measures will be added Sunday and there will be monitoring and measures taken against all those who fail to implement Kosovo Government measures.
Zemaj, among other things, said that for the epidemiological situation and increasing the number of cases infected with COVID-19 has announced incumbent President Vjosa Osmani, as well as Central Election Commission Chairman Valdete Daka.
What I've seen and the information we've been receiving for the past few days is a failure to discipline in meetings, closed gatherings, whether at home, Oda, or a coffee shop, even from political officials. I mentioned it at the mayor's, but I'm also mentioning it here. It is not a political interest just to obtain the mandate, political interest is to represent citizens and preserve their lives and health. I have also addressed the president in office and the head of the CEC I have announced of the epidemiological situation I have told him of the increase in the number of infections in the Podujevo municipality and the municipality of North Mitrovica. No relief measures will be made. We will even add surveillance and take steps against all those who fail to implement government measures. ... ] We will agree with the CEC, restrictions apply to all, they should adjust the voting schedule, and this is in my best interest”, Zemaj said.
While during today the Kosovo National Public Health Institute (IKSHPK) will present the new time and, based on it, Zemaj says the measures will be revised. But since professionals recommend measures should be taken, he says he will proceed with those measures.
“Today is the day I KSHPK brings the new map on the basis of weekly calculations he collects and at noon today I sit down today. We have measures in place, their escorts are relatively good, the inspectors were mobilized. We are seeking discipline, cooperation, and awareness, there are violations... if there will be any need for additional measures with professional recommendations I proceed further”, he said.
