The Serbian handball team from Kursumlija was planning to play a match against Mokra Gora's team, but barred from entering the border.
The so-called office for Kosovo in Serbia's government has reacted to this decision, calling it accepted.
“Today, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija strongly condemned the prevention of the handball club from Kursumlija to enter Kosovo and play a match with Mokra Gora's team, because that is the flagrant violation of the right to freedom of movement, but the Belgrade and Pristina agreement, which regulates that issue”.
Serbian handball players have been prevented from competing with Pristina “absurd explanation that athletes are a threat to security, public health and international relations”, the Office said in a statement.
