American tennis player Sam Querrey disappeared from St Petersburg after testing positive for Corleone.
After receiving a positive test before the start of the tournament, he moved with his wife and son to a luxury hotel to spend the next few days in solitary confinement. However, after being informed that doctors would come to check on his situation and his family, Querrey decided to disappear.
The American rented a private plane and fled in an unknown direction, according to unofficial information, he is in a Baltic country where he doesn't need a negative test to get into the country.
After the whole situation was announced, ATP said Querrey could receive a three-year suspension.
“ATP has been reported on the incident and serious protocol violations. We take this situation seriously and an investigation is” open, the statement said.
The tennis player could face a fine of $100,000 and a three-year suspension.
