Turkey's Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has announced that so far there are four victims of this tragedy, while in total, 120 Turkish citizens have been affected.
Kosovo's Ambassador to Turkey, Ilir Dugolli, has confirmed to the clankosova.tv that so far among the victims there are no Kosovars.
“From the current source communications with our co-ordinators in Izmir there is no record of victims from their ranks”, he said briefly.
Turkey's President, Rexhep Erdogan, has said they are doing their best to save the citizens of that area.
With all the tools of our state, we stand near our citizens affected by the earthquake. We took measures to start the necessary work in the region with all our relevant institutions and ministers”, Erdogan wrote on Twitter.
At least 20 buildings have been damaged in the Turkish town of Izmir following the powerful earthquake that took place there.
Some of the devastating images shot by citizens have started spreading to social networks.
