Russian investigators have opened a criminal investigation after a child was placed on a balcony by his parents until it was frozen to death, officials say.
The boy, seven months old, was exposed to temperatures - 7C for five hours in the eastern region of Khabarovski, writes the BBC.
He was placed on the balcony to sleep in the clear air, local media report.
The Health Ministry has advised citizens not to leave their children outside the home environment without care.
“Always be aware where and with whom [your child] is,” said the ministry in an Instagram post, Pryscopy follows.
