The powerful Gloria storm, which included most of eastern Spain on Monday, caused the deaths of at least four people. Regions around Valencia and the Balatric Islands were hit the worst, with great floods and strong winds.
Over 30 provinces in Spain were placed in a state of readiness. Authorities said that a person lost his life in the province of Avila after being hit by flying tiles.
A homeless woman was frozen near Valencias, a victim enrolled in the Asturias region and one in the town of Moixent. The storm later moved south of France, where local media quoted weather seers as saying it was the worst in the region since 1982.
Spain and France were hit by severe floods in October of last year.
