December month the restart of Kosovo- Serbia

Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia should resume as soon as possible. This is also the insistence of the US and Germany, states that are making efforts to unblock talks and bring Pristina and Belgrade back to the negotiating table. The U.S. has appointed Matthew. The U.S. has appointed Matthew. Palmer as the special representative for the Western Balkans, who has stated that dialogue for normalisation of reports between Kosovo and Serbia will be the main point of his agenda.
Aside from Palmer's appointment, two US senators will arrive in Kosovo today, coming to Pristina for the only reason, the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
On the same issue, Kosovo has been visited yesterday by CSU deputy that German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Peter Beyer, who called for the resumption of dialogue, reassembled the German stance that they are classical against the idea of correcting borders.
Peter Beyer has spoken of the US decision to appoint a special representative for the Balkans, saying it would be good for the European Union to appoint such a representative who would only deal with dialogue.
Meanwhile, dialogue is expected to resume at the end of this year, exactly in December. Serbia's Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic has confirmed this, following a meeting he had in Brdo with US Deputy Secretary of State Matthew Palmer.
Dacic has said there are expectations that there will be more intense talks from December, adding that he expects greater US pressure towards Pristina to remove the tax and create conditions for continuing dialogue.
Their expectations are to intensify these talks. We have a transition period in the European Union, from Moghrin to Josep Borell and then elections in Serbia”, Dachic said.
Days ago in Washington, Serbia's president, Alexander Vuciq, who met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and who have talked to him about the resumption of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
As reported in German media, Pomepo is said to have put great pressure on Vuciqi to recognise the independence of the Republic of Kosovo. Meanwhile, it has been said that the United States is demanding that a solution be found by the summer of 2020.
Various experts are seeing such deadlines related to the US presidential elections, as they think Trump wants to exploit the result in his campaign.
In addition, concerns have been raised that could return to the table again the idea of exchanging territories or correcting borders.
The Slovak deputy Edward Kukan spoke of this earlier days.
I expect that the issue of recognition of Kosovo through the idea of exchanging territories will return. Whatever the case, it could destabilise Bosnia and Herzegovina's” neighbours as Kukan has indicated his opposition to such an idea of touching borders.
The idea of partitioning Kosovo has also raised concerns for American professor Edward Joseph.
“Is it to speed up efforts to reach a dangerous solution to partition Kosovo? If so, how will the negative aspects of this idea be addressed? What about public warnings, not only by experts like me, but also by officials from neighbouring countries in the region that they will have to live with the consequences of such a solution. How will opposition from several countries be overcome, especially from Germany?” asks Balkan expert.
