Ahmeti: With AAK in government, we will give space to the agreement with Serbia

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo coalition and the Social Democrat Party will rule with the country for the next four years is convinced, Shpend Ahmeti chairman of the latter. Ahmeti, in a proposal for Online Economy, has said the new government must be formed immediately after elections without delay. As he says, the country expects much of the processes that remain in half, but that it is considering that Kosovo is too late for economic development.
“I believe that we are the main contenders for winning elections and of course the coalitions depend on the election outcome, but most importantly, depending on the governing programme, we have our points which we have behind us as conditions and in the pre-election coalition that we have succeeded and we will insist those same points are part of the governing programme of any coalition that we can negotiate”.
“... we are now two subjects in a coalition, I believe we'll make the decisions together, but it would be best to form the government quickly after the elections because we're faced with very big tasks, not just the dialogue that the international community is mentioning, but we're too late with economic development and full other issues that have to start”.
First The PSD, it says they are open to co-operation with other parties after the elections, not to mention names.
Ahmeti expresses a broader coalition must take place because, according to him, a more stable government should be created.
And our electoral system and based on these polls that we're looking at, there are 3 subjects and a coalition that claim the first place, I believe there will be a distribution of the vote, so it won't take a party 51 percent or enough to make a government, while if it's a message that I've understood even from what's coming, I think it's going to be a broader coalition, so it's going to be a more stable government, not 61 62 MPs that are always on the limit of the crash and non-function, so it's good that government has at least 70-75-7568-seat.
Open to co-operation as with other parties, The PSD is not seen to be even with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).
Ahmeti even says it's good for Kosovo and itself The PDK will remain in position on this mandate.
The “would be good for both the Democratic Party of Kosovo and for Kosovo, to pass into the opposition at least one mandate, I think that's good for Kosovo, seeing that it's not good for a subject to be so long in power, I think they have the other things to show, those points that we've introduced to the Alliance, but in front of others when we discussed, both with the Initiative, the LDK, it's not that it's been accepted<x1.
“ ... these are the judiciary and the police fighting corruption, there are several issues of economic development that we've managed and of course social protection that we care about is of great importance, education and health reforms we have written down, these are points that we insist on being part of the governing programme in any coalition in which we would participate”.
Ahmeti, says that with their coming to the government along with the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, there will be enough room to reach an agreement with Serbia, but, according to him, not at the cost of giving territories.
“I think dialogue is not the solution of the Government, dialogue will be ready that obligation lies with the national community and I think it will be good for Kosovo if we solve and give the dialogue a chance. I think there is no subject in Kosovo that says there should be no dialogue, but no agreement at any cost -- the agreement which preserves Kosovo's interests -- improves life in general”.
“These are issues that we can discuss, about minority rights, about Albanians in Serbia we have said even on the platform we have prepared, I think there is enough room to reach agreement, but not at the cost of giving territory or creating third level of governance in Kosovo”, Ahmeti said.
