Kosovo and Macedonia are involved in a trade clash. Kosovo Minister of Trade and Industry Endrit Shala has imposed reciprocal measures on northern Macedonia's honey and potatoes, as the latter has imposed tariff barriers on Kosovo products.
According to the minister, since June of this year, when the cosova product, the fish rasad, has been attached to the tax barrier on the part of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, complaints have been filed through the CEFTA Secretariat and also sent a letter to his counterpart in Skopje, but there has been no reaction.

At present, reciprocal measures will be imposed for North Macedonia products imported to Kosovo and certain products will be banned so that the state of Northern Macedonia can reflect and have equal treatment for Kosovo products entering that state”.
According to Shala, reciprocity, partnership and equal treatment is the only road leading forward, threatening later that if it follows the same path, the Kosovo government will be forced to take further steps.
