Valdete Daka speaks after meeting with President Thaci

Central Election Commission Chairman (KQZ) Valdete Daka said after meeting with President Hashim Thaci that the institution leading is ready for organising early parliamentary elections, when it will be announced, the Online Economy reports.

Daka added that the head of state has discussed constitutional deadlines, not the date of holding elections, if they are announced.

“U discussed constitutional deadlines if elections are held, this was”.

“Not discussed date, for extraordinary elections we always have other options”.

When asked about the budget needed for this process, she said that when elections are announced they will seek tools from the government.

“These are issues discussed after the elections are announced if the CEC is looking for the necessary tools from the government and set up for the budget because this has not been an election year and we are not behind the necessary” budget.
