Kosovo tied 29:29 to Bahrain in a tense match between fifth and sixth place at Group C of the World Handball Championship 2019.
Youth Avduli was the hero of the first point of Kosovo won in a world championship, marking the two draw goals at the end of the 60-minute summit.
Bahreni was leading (29:27) in the last 90 seconds of the meeting, but Avdul was Kosovo's savior even though his team was playing with one less player in those moments.
Kosovo captain Jon Mujolli has said that the yellow national played well and I feel wonderful for the first point won in this championship.
It's a wonderful feeling. We played well and gave our best of ourselves. We were losing until the last minute, but we even did and that's good. We could have won, but we made some mistakes in the attack and in defense. We are grieving, however, because we have lost our past matches and that is not right”, Muqolli said.
Kosovo closed its preliminary phase without victory and will now have a day off before starting a plastic round at one of the positions between 17 and 24.
