After unsuccessful helicopter search and divers, rescue teams in Italy are now using a robot to locate Switzerland's Albanian football player Floriana Ismaili, which mysteriously disappeared on Saturday in a lake in Italy.

Albanian-born Swiss National footballer and Young Boys, Ismaili, had been in the water on Lake Cosmo on Saturday afternoon and has since been missing figure. Fire brigades and divers made efforts to locate her throughout Sunday, but without results.

The 24-year-old had jumped into the water from a ship she had rented with a friend of hers and has since stopped showing up. Her friend had sought help immediately, and a rescue team had arrived at the scene.

The particular robot known as “ROV” (computed submarines) which are now using rescue teams in an effort to locate Floriana Ismaili was launched by a dock in Dongo.

According to the Fire Department in this Italian city, the robot will need time to do the research.

The robot will do extensive research and extensive space in the lake that is over 100m deep.

The robot can control 500 meters from the ship it's attached to.

Ismaili, born in Bern by Albanian parents, has been part of Young Boys since 2011. In 2014, she also debuted in the Swiss national team and has since held 33 games.
