If you are looking for an excuse to adopt a dog, do not look further.
Dogs have always been the best human “shock”, but it turns out that they can also be the woman's best sleep partner, as illustrated by a study.
Before we let the other important ones out of bed, we at Brighton Side decided to understand why women sleep better at night if they sleep with a dog.
Dog worshipers unite in a 2018 study that brings good news: Most women sleep better with dogs than with cats or a human partner.
962 women in the United States were questioned about the study, of which nearly half slept with at least one dog, 1/3 slept with a cat, and over half of them slept with a human partner.
Compared to women sleeping with a cat or a man, those sleeping near a dog reported higher levels of comfort and security. This is likely because dogs are known for their ability to protect their owners and prevent any intruders. Unlike cats and people, they are able to warn their owners of possible danger very quickly and more effectively.
Dogs can also encourage healthier sleep patterns with their owners. Unlike cats, they spend 75% of the night sleeping and have a much lower level of activity.
However, another study revealed that instead of sleeping directly with the dog, men and women tend to relax better with their dog in the same room.
It's also an excellent way to spend more quality time with your hairy friends if you've left most of the day for work.
