Kelmendi brought Kosovo the first historical gold medal from the European Games on Saturday in Minsk, Belarus. She won the gold medal in the judo race.

Kelmendi rejoiced at the historic triumph after a brilliant performance in the finals by defeating the late champion, Russian Natalia Kuzutina.

Rasica, who is shining with the national football team, has enjoyed Majlinda's gold medal. He has posted a photograph of Kosovo heroin in his official account at the Instagram, and next to it a grateful emoticeon, along with the Kosovo flag.

It is this first gold medal in Kosovo's history in two European Games participating, while for Majlinda it is Europe's fourth champion title. Judo contests in Minsk also serve as European champions.

Kosovo has so far won two medals at the European Minks 2019 after Nora Gjakova took the silver medal on Saturday as well.
