Patriarch Irinej, dictator Al-Assad talk about Kosovo in Damascus

The meeting was held in Damascus and Al-Assad reiterated his position that efforts for intervention by foreign states are intended to undermine co-operation and sovereignty between the two countries.

Kosovo was mentioned during this meeting, as the patriarch praised Al-Assad's principled and strong stance in support of Serbia and Kosovo, writes Syria, Periscopi broadcasts.

Al-Assad praised Patriarch Irinej's humanitarian stance and his attempt to boost the values of friendship and the work he is doing for abandoning extremism.

On the other hand, Patriarch Irinej expressed his belief that Syria would overcome its problems and restore its historic role as an influential state to create stability and distribute peace in the region. /Periscopi
