In this organisation, Kosovo was said to be leaders in the region in respect of community rights.
Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who said that despite the integration of the Egyptian community into institutions, there is still work to be done for the rights of this community, such as the right to residence, employment and others.
The “in the Government cabinet has two advisers, one is permanent political, and the other is on dialogue topics, and community rights topics. We have two deputy ministers, but it's not enough, so we have a situation of difficult employment... and we have difficulty resolving the right of residence and other rights, but we are together... what is Kosovo today we have created together, and freedom we have created together”, Haradinaj said.
Haradinaj recalled that with the Egyptian Liberal Party in Kosovo, there are also local partners, for which he has even thanked them.
While OSCE Ambassador to Kosovo Jan Braathu said that despite the difficulties, Kosovo has noted progress in the rights of communities in recent years.
“O The SEU works with all communities in Kosovo, including the Egyptian community. We work in implementing the Constitution and legislation of Kosovo. These two offer the best for the protection of community rights. Sometimes this application may be challenging, but the laws exist and are fine, but we all have to make sure of their implementation together. I think in recent years there has been progress in respecting these rights and responsibilities,” he said,
adding that mission The SEU will continue to work with Kosovo authorities for respecting communities' rights.
He has congratulated the Egyptian community of Kosovo on their national day.
And MP Veton Berisha said he feels happy that the Egyptian community in Kosovo is enjoying the much-lack respect, thus becoming part of the central and local institutions.
I feel extremely good and happy that in the history of the Egyptian community, beautiful things are happening that the Egyptian community in the Balkans really miss. They are happening in our day where the Egyptian community thanks to commitment and persistence is experiencing its best, knowing it are jointly respecting and contributing all central and local institutions together with us”, Berisha said.
However, Berisha added, the Egyptian community still needs the hand of state on issues such as survival, education, dignity as well as taking on new responsibilities.
E Rubin Zemon, MP in the Parliament of Northern Macedonia, said Kosovo is a leader in the region in respect of community rights.
He said it is an example not only in respecting these rights but also in integrating communities into public life.
It's a pleasure to be here at a historic moment, for which many Egyptian generations have dreamed of this moment. Today in this headquarters of the government of the Republic of Kosovo, let us celebrate together with the state political leader the Egyptian Community National Day. Kosovo certainly shows is a leader in the region to respect minority rights, not only to preserve identity, but to integrate minorities into daily public life”, Zemon said.
We remember that with the decision of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, June 24th has been announced, Egypt's National Community Day.
