Despite being viewed as not the absolute favourite, Ruiz Jr. made the unthinkable by stopping Joshua in the seventh round.
Ruiz Jr nominated Joshua three times along the mechi -- twice in the third round and once in his seventh.
The fourth knockout was crucial, since Joshua could no longer carry on when five rounds remained.
Joshua's debut in America soon turned from a dream into a nightmare, and it was clear that he was not in a good psychological state to box.
