Have you ever heard of a Harvard study that has lasted 75 years just to find out what makes us happy? It's a revolutionary study of psychology.
The study has monitored the lives of two men's groups for over 75 years, and has finally managed to reveal the most important factor in people's happiness.
So, what makes people happy and healthy throughout life? If you think that fame and money, you're not alone, but, according to psychiatrist Robert Waldinger, you're wrong.
According to Waldinger, the number one factor of happiness and well-being is good connection with others that's the clearest message they've received from 75 years of research.
So the best predictor of happiness and general fulfillment in your life is love.
To be more specific, research has shown that having someone you support helps relax the nervous system, helping your brain stay healthy, and also reduces emotional pain.
Research records have also shown that those who feel lonely are more inclined to suffer from poor physical health earlier than others and die younger.
It's not just the number of friends that affects this, it's the quality of the close connections that matters”, Waldinger showed.
