On Monday, a guide was published by the American Academy for Sleep Medicine.
These include recommendations from various pediatrics on different age groups regarding their sleep needs.
According to them, adequate sleep is linked to improved attention, behavior, learning, physical and mental health at all ages.
Moreover, insufficient sleep increases the likelihood of diabetes, accidents, depression, and suicide injuries among teens.
The recommended hours are as follows:
12 hours for babies 4-12 months
11 hours for 1- 2
10 hours for children 3-5
9 hours for 6-12
