Not all couples realize that effort is needed by the two partners for a good family life.
According to statistics, some 950,000 marriages in Europe (from a total of 2.1 million) eventually end in divorce.
A study by “Slater and Gordon Lawers” have identified the happiest and most difficult years of marriage.
3 Years of Marriage
There is one idea that love lasts only three years. After that, the couple either separate, or their relationship becomes less ideal than they used to be.
In reality, after three years of dating, people are more inclined to admit their partner's weaknesses and, therefore, feel more comfortable.
It is also common for the couple to have babies in their third year of family life. So the relationship keeps getting stronger. It is the third year of marriage that is believed to be the happiest of all.
5 Years of Marriage
First real problems can begin in the 5th year of family life. During this time period, children are still young and require much devotion. This is very difficult to combine with work, homework, and other day-to-day problems.
It's after five years together when couples start thinking about divorce and looking for lawyers. This year is believed to be the hardest.
7 Years of Marriage
If the couple remain together after five years of marriage, then another obstacle awaits them. It's the 7th year of family life that experts call “mur”. At this stage, family life becomes routine. There may also be financial problems, problems with child care, and talk about responsibilities at home.
This is a very complicated period. But if marriage mates can meet this challenge together, a happy, strong marriage awaits them.
