One in five young girls or women has fallen prey to lullism because of menstruation.
According to a new study, many suffer in silence.
Out of 20% of the 14-21-year-olds who admitted they had fallen out of confusion, 49% had not talked to anyone about the harassment they faced.
67% of the girls questioned said that the kindnesses occurred in schools, and 66% of them said they did not enter the lesson because of periods.
According to research, women still feel the widespread stigma about menstruation. They even feel ashamed to talk about their period with their friends.
Even when they finish high school, they enter high school or work, they remain taboo.
Many women hide tampons and find it difficult to talk about period symptoms, even if doing so affects their ability to work.
The study was published by Plan International UK.
