Recently, the number of women who decided to become mothers at an advanced age, in their 40s, has increased. However, they are well aware of the dangers associated with the growth of their first child.
But pressure on older mothers is unfair, since even fatherhood has a negative impact on the health of mother and offspring as well.

Based on the research conducted, evidence was found that men over 45 could put their partners at greater risk for pregnancy complications, such as genetic diabetes and preeclampsia. Babies born of older fathers also have a greater chance of being born prematurely, of dying, of having low birth weight, seizures, and so forth. Dangers seem to exist even later in life: Research suggests that children born to such fathers have a greater risk of childhood cancer, cognitive skills, and autism.

“Just as men lose muscle strength, flexibility and sustainability with age, sperms also tend to lose access during life cycle”, explains Gloria Bachmann, director of the Women's Institute of Health at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Women certainly tend to be aware of the risks associated with age to their fertility, but men must now be aware of them. al
