If losing weight, tonification, or staying active is on your list of things to do, it can be easier than you think to get results.
According to a new study by the UT Southwestern Medical Center, it looks like only one exercise can increase the power of your metabolism to two days. This group studied the effect of brain training specifically on two types of neurons: One is the neuron of POMC, which is linked to reduced appetite, lower blood glucose levels, and increased energy burning; the other is called NPY / AgRP, and it seems to increase appetite and slow down metabolism.
Working with mice, researchers measured the activity of the circuit of the brain after attending various training regimes up to ten days. They found that a single exercise (compared to three routines lasting about 20 minutes) could increase the activity of POMC neurons and hinder the NPY neuron / AgRP until two days. News becomes even better: With the exercise of various physical activities every day, the positive effect on neurons lasted longer. Another benefit of a single training, researchers say, is that you feel less hungry than six hours because of active neurons.
