Unpublished previously, 86 photographs belonging to 1928-1931, accompanied by two documentaries of the time, are on display at COD.
Looking at pictures of the album, most of them were very small, some Albanian friends let me understand that this material was very important for Albania, because it has lost much of its memory in particular photography. From here came the idea to make this exhibition, and this is the score of”, Cristina Quaroni, the granddaughter of the Quarone couple, said.
Given the importance of this Quaroni family archive, she has donated the Albanian state in digital form, the entire archive of her family, with 780 photographs.
“was the entire modernisation process of a country that should have been particularly interesting to be followed by a year of diplomats who were always very interested both in politics and culture, or in the history of any country where they lived”, Cristina also added.
The picture features moments of the interpretation of Albanian history between the two wars, new interpretations from a historical and political perspective, or a kingdom in conception. Earlier in a century, the exhibition conveys a context of great historical and social interest.
