Spain's Football Federation is in talks with the government of Saudi Arabia as the Spanish want their Superkupa held outside the territory of the Iberian Peninsula.
The valid proposal for 30m euros in the season for this race is negotiating at the moment. The two sides are in the final phase, and Spain's Superkupa is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia for the next six years.
However, no contract has been signed yet and both sides have managed to agree on all details of the agreement so far.
The final agreement could be even longer than six years, while the location could change as well.
The format of this race is expected to change since next season. The biggest changes are that four clubs -- not two -- will take part in this race, as well as not be held at the start of the season, but in the middle of the season during January.
However, these changes and negotiations with the government of Saudi Arabia should also be approved by the Spanish Football Federation Assembly, which holds a meeting Monday, April 19.
