Two out of three men surveyed by “CV-Library” have said they don't mind asking the boss for a raise, compared to just one in five women, who have been found to be more concerned about negotiating work schedules than pay.
More than half of women surveyed (55.1%) have said they have never negotiated wages, compared to only 40% of men.
The survey has also found that when the two genders demand salary growth, males are more likely to negotiate higher wage growth than women.
The authors of the study say that in modern times, it is worrying that there are still women who have trouble negotiating in the workplace.
Whether it is their salary, schedule, or position, it is important that women muster up the courage to talk to their boss about their needs.
