However, the latest study of international experts published in The Lancet medical journal shows that in almost 195 countries surveyed, people eat many of the wrong foods and consume lower levels of healthier products, writes Alsat M, Time newspaper broadcasts.
According to the study, the most dangerous diets are the ones that contain lots of salt, few cereals, and few trees.
Small quantities of nuts, seeds, vegetables, sea products and fibers are other large killers, reports the study, broadcast Radio Free Europe.
“Dieta is one of the world's dominant health leaders”, said study author Christopher Murray, director of the Institute for Measure and Health Education at the University of Washington.
The study examined consumption and disease trends between the 1990s-2017s.
