The commander of the US Bondsteel base in Kosovo, Colonel Roy Mcarag, has indicated why Albania's soldiers are seen in northern Kosovo.
He has said that at the US base in Bondsteel there are about 800 soldiers from the United States, Poland, Turkey and Albania, and has suggested that these soldiers are usually sent to the north as part of an international co-operation.
Marcarag has said US troops have good co-operation with Serbia's armed forces as well.
The U.S. Commander says they have everyday communication with those who patrol the administrative line, and that they sync their actions with them.
Among other things, he has indicated that most soldiers in Bodnstil are from Hawai.
“We come from a different culture, but in Kosovo and the Balkans we are enjoying working in a multinational environment. It's a pleasure to be here”, Macaragg said, writes Radio Contact Plus.
According to him, American soldiers in Kosovo are making efforts to distribute peace, and hopes that this will be accepted by Kosovo citizens.
