According to NY Times, former champion The UFC was questioned in January after a woman said she had been sexually assaulted in Dublin in December.
There is still no charge against McGregor, but according to sources of the American newspaper he is still under investigation by Irish police.
This morning, McGregor announced on Twitter that he would end his war career.
