The Serbian list is continuing to boycott Kosovo's Assembly, since the introduction of the tax on Serbian products, whose votes are necessary for the adoption of this law, KTV reports.
The chairman of the Commission for Education, Ismail Kurteshi, has said that all of this is a misguidance of Serbian deputies, as it is holding many other laws hostage.
Kurteshi says the plight of Serbian MPs is that they do not want to leave the University of Northern Mitrovica under management of Kosovo institutions.
Education Minister Shyqi Bytyqi has said the new law, which depends on the quality of higher education institutions, in the public and private sector, has many changes.
He says he will not give up the University of Northern Mitrovica, because it is unreasonable that an institution within Kosovo continues to work with Serbia's plan-program.
The Education Law is among the laws of vital interest.
For the adoption of this category of laws, the votes of 2/3 of MPs, including communities, are needed.
