Jaka Eagle Picks Best Picture of the Year in Switzerland

The picture in which Kosovo football player Granit Jaka is seen making the eagle's gesture by hand, in the match between the Swiss National and Serbia's, has been chosen as the sports photo of the year in Switzerland.

“Swiss Press Photo Award 2019” has made the share of prices for best journalistic photos performed during 2018 and photo shot by Laurent Gillieron has been chosen as the best for the sports field.

Remember that during the Swiss match -Serbia, which ended by 2-1, was the footballers Granit Jaka, Gerdan Shaqiri and Stephan Lichtsteiner, the ones who made the eagle's gesture with their hands.

Their move made headlines in Swiss and wider media because the two footballers who scored against Serbia were of Kosovo origin.
