Outgoing Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has ordered the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo to keep the 100 per cent tax decision on Serbian products and the Dukagjin highway in place.
Haradinaj in an interview for Online Economy has said that following statements by Serbian state officials on denying genocide in Kosovo, tax removal should not occur under any circumstances.
He has said that a tax removal decision means political suicide.
The status quo has changed. The VV and LDK will find it even harder to remove, following the denial of Serbian crimes on the part of Vucinqi, by Djurici, Vulini, Dacic. I don't understand how the LDK and VV can remove the tax and restore Serbia's economic invasion in Kosovo. Whose Serbia? What killed you now denies the crime. He's killing you for second. I appeal to the LDK and the VV not to make mistakes with the tax, that they make big and tragic and political mistakes. Because now it's going to be empty hands that they don't have anything to give in exchange for recognition, and it's going to cost us";x1>, he said.
Another decision Haradinaj considers impervable is that of building the Dukagjin highway, for which the VV and LDK have voiced opposition and have stated that once they enter the government, they will re-determin the previous budget for the project.
Haradinaj claims that this highway is not just Dukagjin's, but of all Kosovo, and that it is in the best interests of the country's economic development.
And the Dukagjin highway. I understand their desire to have different thoughts. I'm about to make investments in any economic sector. There are no sectors of the economy, which develop without infrastructure because it's the artery of the economy. No wonder the whole world invests in infrastructure even though it's expensive. I also agree that I don't get robbed on the Dukagjin highway and don't get malpractice, and I'm asking everyone here that if you know there's any irregularities to report to the prosecutor, police and media. But to go against the highway, because you're out against your people, against the need for development”, he said.
Haradinaj has orders from the two parties that are claiming to lead with the government not to prevent the country's economic development.
We need to expand the existing old roads, but if you take the Dukagjin region in general, you need a highway that is all over Kosovo and not just of Dukagjin. It is necessary and I strongly believe that with the responsibility taken, electoral rhetoric will also change, because they do not have to prevent the development of themselves”, Haradinaj said.
And another decision of great importance for the country that was made in the Haradinaj government is also ratification of the demarcation agreement with Montenegro.
Haradinaj further believes that the border with Montenegro will be in the Qafa of Cakir and the Tower Qafa.
He says he has talked with the Montenegrin president and prime minister, but also with Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
And let everyone know that he's in Chuckorri's neck and in the Tower safe and he's no different wherever. We are not rushing to irritate relations with Montenegro because it is an Allied country, but certain the border is not another direction. I've also talked to Mr. Kurti, but also with President Djukanovic, Prime Minister Dusko Markovic. It's not that we're correcting the border, but we're marking the border straight into the Qafe of Cakir and Tower, and there's still no place of stone on the border at both states' coordinates. Actually, what it's like today is not the final line. It is finally decided when both commissions agree on the stones where there are”, he said.
. The Vetevendosje movement, but also the Democratic League of Kosovo, have warned they will review some of Haradinaj's decisions, including the tax, Dukagjin highway, but other decisions taken during the two-year term.
