The gift of sight is what is sometimes taken for granted. For example, how would you describe the color red for someone who cannot see it? How would you describe flowers, sky, or ocean?
However, there is some hope. Some blind people can regain their eyesight by operating. Even better, they are not only humans who can regain their sight, even animals can!
An lucky Irish Terrier tried to return his sight, and his reaction says everything, broadcast Periscope.
Duffy, a beloved Irish territory and rescue dog, has had a lot of fighting with his health. He developed diabetes, and at one point he lost his eyesight because of his illness.
His diabetes was stabilised with the help of drugs, but Duffy was not the same without his sight.
Fortunately, Duffy qualified for an eye operation that would be able to restore his vision. Duffy's family did not hesitate to sign for the operation. His treatment and operation were conducted at the Veterinary Reference Centre in Malvern, Pennsylvania
The following video shows Duffyn leaving the operation and looking at his parents for the first time in a month.
As Duffy's tail shakes a thousand miles an hour, you can see how happy and excited he is to see his family again.
