Remember the date of the first period? Your body probably tried to tell you something.
One study explains that your health may depend on that!
There is an interesting connection between the age at which the first period occurs and the health of a woman.
Some research has shown that the first menstrual cycle can affect the risk of cardiovascular disease. Those with the cycle before the age of 10 or after 17 are the most endangered.
Smoking, eating disorders and the socioeconomic situation also exacerbate the situation.
Only 25% of women who participated in the research had periods at age 13, at the age doctors considered right and normal.
This is a very interesting document confirming some previous studies that showed that there is a connection between early menstruation and the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Research was conducted by Dr. Dexter Canoy of Oxford University in the United Kingdom, who showed that most women between 50 and 64 who were hospitalised or died of cardiovascular problems had their first period before the age of 10 or after 17.
Furthermore, experts suggest that the girls with early puberty have facts that have increased overweight rates, and the early cycle is a factor.
