This year marks the 10-year anniversary of “Yava for the Rights of Crime Victims”, with which the international conference with the motto “Justice restores the dignity of victims”.
State chief prosecutor Aleksander Lumezi in honour of “Yava for the Rights of Crime Victims” has pledged that his commitment as chief state prosecutor and all relevan mechanisms will not lack the cases of crime victims being addressed directly during all procedures, while perpetrators receive merit sentences.
“as chief state prosecutor I appreciate that in the face of this week, we have placed the rights of the victims ahead of the years, but also a serious warning for perpetrators of the rights of the victims of crime, because these rights are guaranteed by the Constitution and the laws of Kosovo and enter into the framework of fundamental rights, and, as such, should be protected by the state institutions”, Lumez has been expressed.
