The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) has announced that counterpart for new vehicles has been removed.
According to the announcement, this decision comes based on legislation in effect, where even the liberalisation procedures of the counterparts process have begun.
Under that, we inform you that MlT has made the decision that new cars, imported from licensed companies, will no longer be subjected to counterparts from the company authorised to perform it”, the announcement said.
For verifying data from producers, MlT has indicated that companies authorised for their sale on the Kosovo market will be responsible.
The same verification according to MlT will apply to buyers when conducting car registration.
MlT has indicated that this decision has been made in order to facilitate procedures and reduce the cost citizens must pay.
