Italy cuts parliamentary numbers, saves 100m euros annually

This new law envisions the upcoming Italian Parliament having 600 deputies and senators from 946, which is their current number.
Out of 630 deputies, their number will drop to 400, while out of 315 senators their number will be 200.
This new law will bring to the state ark a 100m-euro per year savings, meaning around 500m euros in each legislature of 1 billion euros in a decade.
The law was passed by 553 votes in favour, 14 votes against 2 votes of abstention, an Oranews.tv.
They have voted in favour of this law all political forces.
The current report between elected parliamentarians and residents in Italy is 1 parliamentary to every 61 thousand people.
The newly approved law will make every 151 thousand residents have 1 deputy and every 302 residents have 1 senator.
