France police and the Nantes club have confirmed today that Sala was one of two people who had traveled on that plane last night. The plane disappeared after losing contact with the Cassquets center 12 hours ago.

Cardiff City had formalised Lana's transfer from Nantes for 17m euros on Saturday, and Sala had returned to France to say goodbye to his former associates before starting the rest of the season with the new club.
He was expected to attend this morning's Cardiff training session.
