Schulz, German football player “resurrected”

Nico Schulz's debut in Germany's victory over Peru (2:1) was not perfect, but will be long remembered.

Along with goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ser Stegen, Hoffenheim's defender was guilty of the only goal Peru's representative scored in this friendly match. Schulz mistook the ball back to Jefferson Farfan before interfering late in Louis Avinculan, who made it for Peru, follows the DW script.

However, the 25-year-old cleared his mistake when he scored the winning goal in recent moments for Germany, defeating Peru's goalkeeper Pedro Gallese, with a long shot.

Schultz admits that he felt good to have scored a goal, especially in the fact that the match was held at the Hoffenheim Stadium “Rhein-Neckar-Arena”. He admits that with this goal of granting Germany victory, he felt much better after the earlier mistake he had made.
