Local media report that Turkish giant Fenerbahce is preparing an offer for the transfer of Mesut Ozil from Arsenal to a passing January deadline.
“Toopchive coach” Unnai Emery may have denied speculation that it has ruined relations with Mesut Ozil, but news coming from Turkey has only increased them.
Fenerbahce news agency reports that Fenerbahce is preparing an interesting offer for Ozili in January.
This news, however, cannot be taken for granted in view of the club's financial situation.
Turkish football expert Emre Sarigou recently wrote to Guardian that the new Fenerbahces president, Ali Koc, has made it clear that his task is to resolve the club's large debts, which currently total 621m euros.
Ozil has a weekly salary of nearly 400 thousand euros in Arsenal, and seeing this Turkish-German one would be unaffordable for Fenerbahcen. Also, as a 29-year-old, he is not compatible with the club's new policies to invest only in new players. /Periscopi
