Government Prosecutes for Parliament of the Law for Salaries

The government cabinet has been proceeding for a review in the Parliament of the draft Parliament on the Salaries Law. The bill's procedure has been made without a vote against and with a abstention by Education Minister Shyqi Bytyqi.
Public Administration Minister Mahir Jagcilar has justified this bill, while Finance Minister Bedri Hamza said they vote in favour of the bill, but according to him the budgetary impact should not jeopardise macro fiscal stability.
Regarding this bill, Minister of Education Shyqiri Bytyqi has also reacted to the bill, which said the promotion or co-efficiency of teachers' salaries should not be lower than in other sectors, because it can degrade the educational system.
According to him, the cofficiency for salaries in education is lower than in other sectors, for which it has abstained by vote. Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said that with this bill, there is no reduction in salaries except for the prime minister's salary.
At today's cabinet meeting, the government has been proceeding to the Parliament with a proposal concerning the Law on Change and Fulfilling the Law for Official Festivals in Kosovo.
