The Sunday Times had reported that the billionaire wanted to sell Chelsea for 2 billion euros.
The paper had also reported that Abramovichi had refused an offer by Silver Lake Partners for the purchase of a stake, as well as in June, Jim Ratclifet had been denied 2 billion euros in bids for the club's purchase.
According to sources inside the club, Abramovichi does not want to sell Chelsea and this will not change soon.
In May this year, following the sanctions of Great Britain on Russia, Chelsea announced that Abramovichi would not continue with the renovation of the Stamford Bridge Stadium, which would cost the Russian more than 500m euros.
Chelsea has failed to qualify for the Champions League for the second time in three years. Earlier, they had qualified each year since 2003 when Abramovichi had acquired ownership, managing to win this race in 2012.
