Minister Bajram Hasani: Kamenica soon with the Economic Zone

Trade and Industry Minister Bajram Hasani has met with Kamenica Mayor Central Kastracti, where he has been discussed creating the Economic Zone and supporting this municipality.

Minister Hasani said that if the Kamenica procedures go through, it will be with the Economic Zone in 2019.

The minister estimated that the creation of economic areas is vital for business functioning and job growth.

We talked about problems, jobs and the development of the municipality. We are determined that where we can, we support businesses and create opportunities and space to develop their activity. One of the elements that must be created are economic areas, because even for calling investors, it is the first point to give them space and opportunity. Even in the municipality of Kamenica, we are interested in creating an Economic Zone to enable local businesses. We expect the municipality and agreed with the mayor to find space and bring the documentation to us and start with the expropriation and proclamation of the Economic Zone. If the procedures go, we as MTI pledge that in 2019 we will begin investing. This is good news for Kamenica, because businesses are able to function best, and this Economic Zone creates jobs, mostly needs the Kamenica municipality and even Kosovo”, said the minister Hasani.

Kamenica Mayor Stand Kastrati said the municipality is ready to follow all procedures for starting an economic zone and praised Prime Minister Hasani's readiness to help this municipality.

“E thank Minister Bajram Hasani for this visit and this co-operation. We announced the state of Kamenica and discussed how the ministry's interest is in helping local producers, which directly affects the development of the Kamenica municipality. We also discussed the issue of economic areas, because we are one of the municipalities that are close to the European market and we received promises that we will have the ministry's support. Minister Hasani indicated that he has the will and will to help us. We'll follow the expropriation procedures. The minister told us that he has willingness and will and that what belongs to the ministry will support our municipality”, Kastrati said.
