Ilir Red, chairman of the Albanian-Canadian Association of Calgary, says that Maralda Metko, who died in a man accident and son, is in critical condition for life and remains in a coma while her nine-year-old daughter Brianna is heading towards an improvement, at least physically.
The Albanian-Canadian community of Calgary is coming to the aid of surviving members of the Metko family, two of whom remain dead in an accident on the Ontario highway last Sunday.
Fatos Metko, 45, and his son, Fioral Metko, 14, died when their moving vehicle hit an animal, then crashed into another vehicle that was coming across.
From this accident, the Albanian wife, Maralda (just in a coma), and his daughter Brianna suffered serious injuries.
At the moment of the accident, the Albanian family was travelling towards Ontario, to see the possibility of moving there.
