Under the Dokufest, today in the space of the Prizren Arasta Bridge, a artistic performance will be shown “Youour story is my story” dedicated to women and men who have experienced sexual violence during the Kosovo war.
For nearly two decades after the formal end of the conflict in Kosovo, stories of torture and sexual abuse are kept silent and outside the metaphor of war and public discourse.
Moreover, the survivors of sexual violence and war torture are subject to social stigma, exclusion and noncontinent institutional policies.
“Youour story is my story” teaches the empathy and raising of citizens' awareness of events that Kosovo women and men have experienced as victims of torture during the recent conflict in Kosovo.
Readers at this performance will be: Melihate Doga, Gresa Pallaska, Life Krasniqi, Arben Ahmeti, Life Berisha and Jalane Terbunja, directed by Ugzhmajli.
This reading performance is organised by THY NGOs in collaboration with Forum ZFD, Interra, UN Women and Dokufest.
