Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, who has been staying in Albania today, has thanked the Albanian community in Croatia for their contribution to her country's war with Serbia.
Media in Serbia call this statement shocking.
In the Belgrade media title “B92”, writes “Colinda shocks again: Albanians and Croats are brothers in weapons”.
We were literally brothers in arms before joining NATO in 2009. Many Albanians sacrificed their lives for Croatia and believe me, Croatia will not forget it”, said Grabar Kitarovic, broadcast Express.
She has said Albania was a friend of Croatia, when friends were few.
“This is a very big issue for us and we are grateful to Albanians who fought for our country's freedom”, Kitarovic said at a joint conference with President Ilir Meta.
