Lovren placed silver in his friend's grave: “This is your medal”

Lovren was born in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, by Croatian parents, but his family left the country and moved to Munich when the war began in Bosnia, writes Periscopi.

After several years the Lovren family's stay did not have the necessary documents to stay in Germany and they go to Croatia, exactly in the town of Karlovac, where refugees are accepted.

The Croatian star visited Karlovac yesterday, where he was even at his friend Miroslav Misic Minga's grave, which he dedicated to the silver medal won at the World Cup.

I will never forget Karlovac, it was the first city to accept me as refugees after leaving Germany,” said Lovren.

On his friend's plaque, Lovren put in silver and wrote “This medal is yours,”. /Periscope/
