Official: Three football-related countries will host the 2026 World

The North American, U.S., Canada and Mexico bid will host the 2026 World Championship. Following FIFA's victory before Morocco on Wednesday in Moscow.
The joint effort of these three states has won the right to organise the tournament, which for the first time will welcome 48 national members.
Morocco, applying for the fifth time, had closed the “United 2026” gap to the point that no one in Moscow wanted to make a public prediction before the FIFA Congress vote.
In Moscow, 210 members were present, while only 203 were eligible to vote.
FIFA offered a fine technical assessment of the American-veriories' offer, but subjective factors may have influenced the vote.
After the controversy over the organisation of the 2018 World Cup in Russia and 2022 in Qatar, this was the first time that a world organiser has been elected through the hidden vote.
However, the “United 2026” bid has projected a profit of more than 10 billion euros for FIFA's governing body.
